Brendan Ryan, a former college golfer and coach, is the owner of Golf Placement Services (started in 2009), a boutique business that specializes in college placement through a combination of networking and data analysis. Brendan, a natural connector, has built an extensive international network of world-renowned coaches, teachers and industry professionals. He uses this network daily to help students navigate the college search process and find schools that meet their individual academic, athletic, financial and social needs.

To ensure that student athletes find the right fit, Brendan has traveled to over 900 campuses, meeting with 1200+ coaches. Touring campuses and meeting with coaches gives Brendan unparallel insight into the process which has resulted in less than a 2% transfer rate by Golf Placement Services clients, compared to an NCAA average of 10%.

Driven by a motivation to better understand the process, Brendan began to research topics in junior development and recruiting. Through the contribution of college coaches, as well as organizations like the American Junior Golf Association and Junior Tour of North California. Brendan has amassed thousands of data points from which he has constructed 100+ popular articles and 20+ academic articles. These articles have been published on sites including GolfWRX, AmateurGolf.com, Titleist Performance Institute, Junior Golf Magazine, Golf Range Magazine and the Golf Coaches Association of American Newsletter. To date, these articles have gotten over 1,000,000 reads and over 2000+ shares by college coaches.

As a college coach, Brendan served at Coppin State University, Ohio Wesleyan, University of Kentucky and Redlands Community College. During his tenure, his team’s won 2 National Championships. He also coached 3 Individual National Champions, as well as players who participated in Major Championships and the Olympics.
